When we hear the words “music festival” our minds immediately conjure up images of endless rows of port-o-potties, camping and extended traveling for the sake of mediocre bands. However, the Stag & Dagger festival makes us take off our negative-Nancy glasses and see the music-filled light.

For one day only, Shoreditch will be transformed into a music haven, hosting more than one hundred acts spread across twenty-one different venues.

Forget about long car rides and fields filled with harem-panted fans, this mini music festival in the heart of East London’s efervescent nightlife locale brings quality music right to your doorstep. Returning for its second installment, the festival showcases new talent as well as established acts: from über-versatile DJ Andrew Weatherall hosting Favela Chic with Micachu & The Shapes to No Pain in Pop presenting Abe Vigoda and The Mae Shi at the Vibe Bar, choices are numerous, revealing a mix of different genres and styles to suit all tastes, from indie to house, post-punk to twisted pop.

Pick up the all-access wristbands at Shoreditch Church, which allow you to romp around the neighborhood to the diverse tunes of the Cold War Kids and Lovefoxxx, playing at Cargo and Catch, respectively.
