Anybody else out there with a deep affection for the 1960s will love this as much as we did: For the inaugural press launch of Stella Artois Black The Peasant was turned into a swinging French jazz club.
Involved in the immersive theatre event were a phone ringing on the bar, an original 1960s Citroen DS, lots of French femmes fatales … and an apparently stolen heart.
If we are to believe the “Le Figaro” newspaper on the back of the beautiful Citroen DS that took us right into a secret cinema experience, we were sent back to November 16, 1963 – and The Night Chauffeur took its passengers on a ride with unexpected encounters. We are still trying to piece together the 4 different inter-wining stories as each time-traveller became part of a particular scene of a film noir as the night unfolded. I may never know what happened to my co-passenger who was asked to deliver the box with the pierced heart of my nearly dying backseat neighbor. The package was supposed to be delivered to his daughter, who as it turned out in a different story was on the run from the law. Well, it’s complicated, even in the 1960s. But as our pictures will tell it surely was a very delicious night.
The best thing – you as well have a chance to be part of the experience during 10 upcoming events in selected pubs around London. And this is how to participate in The Night Chauffeur: After buying Stella Artois Black in select venues, customers will be given a postcard detailing their chance to attend one of the exclusive events. The customer can then fill out their details and hand it back to the bar. After collecting all the contact information from the postcards Stella will send out an email with a link to booking, this is on a first come first served basis, customers have to book a timeslot and bar for their experience.
