As summer gradually comes to an end, prepare yourselves for one final shot in the arm of carefree abandonment.

Coming across like Chuck Berry having a garage party with the Stones, Strange Boys make it hard to resist their swaggering exuberance. Vocalist Ryan Sambol’s voice has a distinctly Bob Dylan-esque drawl, and while the rest of the band won’t win any awards for originality either, should we really care in the midst of such youthful frivolity?

Everyone should have a soft spot for this kind of music; after all it’s jangly, energized jams like these that keep the toe-tapping spirit of rock and roll alive.Quote_transparent
