Showcasing the latest developments in digital and interactive design, Decode: Digital Design Sensations is the much anticipated new exhibition at the V&A museum. Co-curated with onedotzero, there will be works by established international artists and designers including Daniel Brown, Golan Levin and Daniel Rozin alongside emerging designers such as Troika and Simon Heijdens.
Three themes are explored: Code as a Raw Material presents pieces that use computer code to create new works. Interactivity, looks at works that are directly influenced by the viewer. The final theme, The Network, focuses on works that comment on and utilise the digital traces left behind by everyday communications and looks at how advanced technologies and the internet have enabled new types of social interaction and mediums of self-expression.
There are also special one-off installations, talks and workshops running throughout the duration of the show. A must-see for the child and the geek within, see the world of digital code and data blossom into diverse exhibits that not only beautiful but also enormously fun.
