When we asked a friend from out of town what they think represents London they said Football, the Queen and Punk. Well, we’d say that’s about right. One thing we’d add is Tattoo Culture, which happens to be heavily imprinted in both Football and Punk (we don’t think the Queen is inked) and has seen London become a mecca of incredible tattoo parlours.
Tying into Umbro’s 1350 project, we’ve decided to put together a guide to our city’s tattoo shops. For the launch of Umbro’s new off-pitch apparel line Diamond Icons the legendary football brand enlisted the help of Ewen Spencer to shoot tattooed footballers Juan Vargas and Darren Bent during their 1350, i.e. the time they spend away from the 90 minutes on the pitch.
