Looking for a change of pace in busy Central London? Then do like a John Hughes flick and step into the Breakfast Club. Hardly like detention, this small, cozy cafe is the perfect place to relax in the middle of Soho. As you enter the main room with its wooden floor and dark-yellow walls, you’re welcomed by the smell of warm tea brewing beside frothy foam-topped cappuccinos and delicious raspberry muffins beckoning from the counter.
Though only three years old, the Breakfast Club might make you feel like you’re in the sixties with The Kinks constantly sounding over the speakers in the background. Yet the people—most of whom come here for lunch or a tea break—are as in-the-now as it gets, accurately reflecting the changing tide of Soho street fashion. While breakfast might not exactly be the highlight, the Breakfast Club is still a great option for a quick bite or contemplative coffee to infuse your day with a bit more repose.
