<description_plain>Since the '60s, Carnaby Street and the surrounding area has been home to some of London's kookiest and quirkiest shops. Despite the ongoing threat of homogenization which relentlessly hovers over this hallowed ground, there's still an undercurrent of off-kilter independent fashion rippling through this part of town.

One notable example is this temporary locale, run by designers Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto, who have brought their wildly individual brand (featuring garments with clashing prints and bright colors) to nearby Kingly St. Stretching over two floors, the designers purvey their latest collection "Jet Set Masala" here, as well as "archive" pieces, some of which have never been seen in the UK. Bargain hunters should make a beeline for the basement, which is brimming with old stock and cheap finds. Make the most of the impending fever brought on by Fashion Week—the shop is open from now until the first week of October.</description_plain>
